Steak 'n Shake Launches #BitcoinBurger With $BTC Logo


Burger restaurant chain Steak 'n Shake unveiled the Bitcoin Steakburger on Thursday, marking five months since the company began accepting $BTC payments across its locations.


The limited-edition burger features two steakburger patties, two slices of American cheese, pickles, onions, and ketchup served on a bun stamped with the #Bitcoin logo. Customers can purchase it individually or as a #BitcoinMeal combo with french fries and a drink.


Steak 'n Shake announced on X that supplies are limited, drawing a parallel to $BTC's fixed supply. The restaurant has been engaging with the $BTC community since March, when it first teased the possibility of accepting crypto payments.


The chain rolled out $BTC payment options to all locations in May, giving more than 100 million customers the ability to exchange Bitcoin for burgers and milkshakes. The decision appears to have delivered measurable business results for the franchise.


Same-store #sales increased by double digits in both Q2 and Q3 this year. The brand has attributed part of these gains to enthusiasm from the Bitcoin community, which actively supported the restaurant's #CryptoAdoption.


Recently, the brand polled its 468,000 X followers about potentially accepting $ETH payments for food and drinks. The query suggested interest in engaging another crypto community and expanding digital payment options beyond Bitcoin.
