#CathieWood Compares #Hyperliquid to Early-Stage #Solana Growth

#ARKInvest CEO Cathie Wood called Hyperliquid "the new kid on the block" and noted familiar growth patterns in the decentralized exchange protocol during a recent “Master Investor” podcast appearance.

Wood drew parallels between Hyperliquid's current trajectory and Solana's early development phase. She noted $SOL has "proven its worth and is there with the big boys" in the cryptocurrency ecosystem.

ARK Invest holds three main crypto assets in public funds: $BTC, $ETH and $SOL. The firm's Solana exposure comes through Breera Sports, which connects to the Solana treasury with Middle Eastern investor backing.

Wood emphasized Bitcoin's dominance as the core cryptocurrency, stating it "owns the cryptocurrency space when it comes to pure crypto." She maintains that Bitcoin remains central to ARK's long-term investment thesis despite growing interest in other protocols.

Hyperliquid currently trades at approximately $44.36 with a market cap near $12 billion. The platform recorded $4.61 billion in perpetual volume over the past day, according to DeFiLlama data.

The DEX operates as a layer-1 blockchain with one-block finality and custom HyperBFT consensus. Its design positions the platform closer to a high-speed exchange than typical layer-2 networks.

Retail traders and semi-professional quants increasingly adopt decentralized exchanges for airdrops, low fees, and fast execution. Order-book DEXs like Hyperliquid now offer speed and liquidity previously limited to centralized venues.

Wood's comparison highlights the competitive landscape among perpetual futures DEXs. Recent token launches and volume surges demonstrate growing institutional and retail interest in decentralized trading infrastructure.
