$ENA Token Gets $20M UAE Investment for DeFi Growth
$ENA governance token has secured a $20 million strategic investment from M2 Capital, the UAE-based firm's investment arm announced Thursday. M2 Holdings plans to integrate Ethena's synthetic dollar products into client offerings through affiliate M2 Global Wealth Limited. The deal reflects growing Middle Eastern demand for regulated digital asset exposure.
Ethena's total value locked is approaching $14.5 billion according to current data, with the protocol generating $666.82 million in fees over the past year. The platform combines crypto-backed collateral with delta-neutral hedging strategies to maintain price stability.
$USDe stablecoin and yield-bearing sUSDe tokens have gained significant DeFi adoption.
Abu Dhabi-headquartered M2 Holdings operates across custody, investment, and wealth management sectors with comprehensive regulatory licenses. The firm holds permissions under Abu Dhabi Global Market's FSRA and the Bahamas' SCB frameworks. This multi-jurisdictional approach enables international capital to channel into regional markets.
