United States Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent and U.K. Chancellor Rachel Reeves have established a collaborative task force focused on digital asset regulation. The Transatlantic Taskforce for the Markets of the Future will examine short-term and long-term coordination opportunities for cryptocurrency oversight.
The joint initiative will produce a comprehensive report within 180 days covering crypto and broader digital markets innovation. #Treasury Department officials emphasized that the task force will develop recommendations through close industry collaboration to unlock opportunities for investors and businesses across both nations.
Financial executives from major institutions, including Bank of America, Barclays, Circle, Citi, #Coinbase, and #Ripple, participated in preliminary discussions last week. This marks a significant advancement in transatlantic cooperation on cryptocurrency regulation and innovation frameworks.
