Pump.fun Claims Victory Over Rumble in Streaming

Pump.fun co-founder Alon Cohen announced the #Solana-based platform has surpassed Rumble in concurrent live streams. The meme coin launchpad is positioning itself as a disruptive force in the #livestreaming market.

Cohen stated the platform "already flipped Rumble in terms of average number of concurrent live streams" while capturing approximately 1% of #Twitch's market share. The company is also claiming roughly 10% of Kick's streaming audience.

The #streaming feature returned after being suspended in late 2024 due to abusive content concerns. Reports emerged of users engaging in dangerous stunts and self-harm to promote token launches during live sessions.

Pump.fun reintroduced streaming with stricter moderation and safety rules earlier this year. Initially available to only 5% of users, the feature was later expanded to all platform participants as #safety measures proved effective.

The platform markets itself as an alternative to mainstream services like Twitch, Kick, and YouTube. Cohen highlighted instant creator fees and promised earnings 100 times higher than traditional platforms offer content creators.

Additional advantages include instant viewership with incentivized community support and 24/7 team assistance. The model targets younger creators frustrated by monetization limitations and censorship on established platforms, according to company messaging.

Independent verification of the streaming claims remains challenging as comprehensive data is scarce. StreamCharts shows Rumble averaged 251 concurrent live channels and over 56,000 concurrent viewers over 30 days.

Critics question the sustainability of   Pump.fun's token-driven creator model. Bob Bodily from   Odin.fun warned that volume-based rewards incentivize #pumpdumps rather than stable community building.

The platform's rapid growth coincided with its native token briefly crossing $3 billion in market capitalization.
