#ARKInvest Expands $4.4M in BitMine Holdings After $ETH Milestone


Cathie Wood's investment firm purchased over 100,000 #BitMine shares across three funds as the treasury company reached 2 million $ETH in holdings.


ARK Invest acquired 101,950 BitMine Immersion Technologies shares worth approximately $4.4 million on Monday. The purchase was distributed among three exchange-traded funds, with the ARK Innovation ETF now maintaining a 2.6% allocation to BitMine stock.


The investment came on the same day BitMine announced it crossed 2 million $ETH in total holdings, valued at roughly $8.9 billion. This milestone represents 1.7% of Ethereum's entire supply, making BitMine the world's largest corporate $ethholder.


BitMine shares surged 4.1% to $44.10 in after-hours trading following the announcement. The stock has delivered remarkable returns this year, gaining 460% since January as the company executed its aggressive $ETH accumulation strategy.


Tom Lee-chaired BitMine has collected 42% of all corporate-held $ETH globally, totaling 4.9 million tokens across various companies. The rapid accumulation occurred over just five months since the company began building its treasury position in April.
