$BTC Holdings Cross $1B as $BTC Hits Records
SpaceX's $BTC holdings surpassed $1 billion as the cryptocurrency reached new all-time highs on Wednesday. #ElonMusk's aerospace company currently holds 8,285 $BTC valued at approximately $1.02 billion, unchanged since 2022.
This marks the second time SpaceX holdings have exceeded $1 billion. The company previously held around 28,000 $BTC, worth $1.8 billion in April 2021, before reducing its position by roughly 70% during the 2022 market downturn.
SpaceX hasn't purchased additional Bitcoin since 2022, maintaining its current 8,285 $BTC position through recent market volatility. Tesla also holds 11,509 $BTC worth $1.42 billion after similar portfolio reductions.
$BTC surge past $124,000 was driven by anticipation of September Fed rate cuts following cooler inflation data. The cryptocurrency now ranks as the fifth-largest asset globally with a $2.452 trillion market cap, surpassing #Google's valuation.
