#CoinDCX Employee Arrested After $44M Hack Through Fake Job Scam


Bengaluru police have arrested software engineer Rahul Agarwal in connection with CoinDCX's $44 million theft.


Hackers allegedly used a fake part-time job offer to install malware on his company laptop.


The compromised device provided access to internal wallet systems at parent company Neblio Technologies.


The #CoinDCX CEO previously called it a server breach and promised to cover all losses.


Customer funds remained safe throughout the incident, according to exchange officials.


The company offers an $11 million bounty through its Recovery Programme for stolen asset tracking.


This marks the second major Indian exchange hack after WazirX lost $230 million in 2024 to the #Lazarus group.
