#Dogecoin Team Submits Zero-Knowledge Upgrade Proposal


DogeOS has submitted a protocol upgrade proposal to Dogecoin Core introducing native zero-knowledge proof verification capabilities.


The OP_CHECKZKP proposal would transform $DOGE from a basic payment system into a platform supporting DeFi and gaming applications.


Enabling zk-rollups will allow Dogecoin to support thousands of off-chain transactions per second verified on-chain.


DogeOS is developing an EVM-compatible zkVM allowing $ETH-based applications to run while settling to Dogecoin.


Dogecoin Foundation director Tim Stebbing called the upgrade essential for building ecosystem utility and #interoperability.


$DOGE is currently trading at $0.26, down 4% on the day from its May 2012 high of $0.71.


Penny stock firm Bit Origin recently bought its first DOGE tranche after securing $500 million for a corporate #Dogecoin treasury.
