#Bitcoin and #Ethereum ETF Issuers File In-Kind Redemption Amendments
Multiple ETF issuers including 21Shares, Fidelity, and Franklin Templeton filed amendments seeking in-kind redemptions for crypto funds.
The amendments cover spot
$BTC and
$ETH exchange-traded funds as well as future crypto ETF products.
Bloomberg Intelligence analyst James Seyffart called the filings "positive signs" indicating momentum at the SEC.
#SEC Commissioner Hester Peirce previously stated that in-kind redemptions for crypto ETFs are "on the horizon."
The changes would only apply to authorized participants like major Wall Street firms and market makers, not retail traders.
#ETF expert Seyffart noted that most people won't see a difference as current products already trade efficiently.
The SEC is reportedly considering a faster approval framework that could open crypto ETF "floodgates" for dozens of pending applications.
