SharpLink Gaming purchased 79,949 $ETH worth $259 million to reclaim its status as the world's largest public holder.


The sports betting platform acquired tokens at an average price of $3,238 in its largest single purchase.


The move follows a $49 million buy announced last Monday, bringing total holdings to 360,807 $ETH worth $1.3 billion.


SharpLink briefly lost the top spot to BitMine Immersion Technologies, which reported 300,657 $ETH holdings Thursday.


BitMine's position, valued over $1 billion, came after a $250 million private placement raise announced June 30.
