House Passes Landmark #CryptoBills as #GENIUS Act Heads to #Trump


The House voted 294-134 to pass the Digital Asset Market Clarity Act on Thursday.


The GENIUS Act passed 308-122 and heads to Trump's desk for his expected signature into law.


The stablecoin bill requires full backing by U.S. dollars and annual audits for issuers above a $50 billion market cap.


Anti-CBDC legislation passed 219-210, blocking the Federal Reserve from issuing digital currency directly to individuals.


The Clarity Act establishes a regulatory framework dividing oversight between the #SEC and #CFTC.


Crypto Regulation now moves to the Senate, where Republicans plan a separate approach with a September 30 deadline.


House Democrats opposed the bills, calling them a "gift-wrapped invitation for Trump to continue his full-scale crypto con."
