$USDY Fund Launches on #Sei Network as #Ondo Finance Expands Tokenized Treasury Products


Ondo Finance has launched its flagship $USDY fund on Sei Network, marking the first tokenized Treasury product on the layer-1 blockchain.


The move strengthens ties between Ondo and #WorldLibertyFinancial, which holds $ONDO tokens as its 12th-largest position.


$USDY combines stablecoin stability with approximately 4.25% APY through backing by short-term U.S. Treasurys and bank deposits.


Ondo manages $1.4 billion in assets, making it one of the largest real-world asset projects by total value locked.


The #RWA startup recently acquired blockchain developer Strangelove and agreed to purchase Oasis Pro for broker-dealer licensing.


Sei Network achieves 400-millisecond block finality through parallel order execution and raised $30 million Series A in 2023.


Circle has made a strategic investment in Sei while bridging its $USDC stablecoin to the network.


$ONDO surged over 10% following the announcement, trading at $1.04 while $SEI sits at $0.36.
