#Ripple Targets European Markets Through MiCA License Application


#Ripple has confirmed intentions to pursue a Markets in Crypto Assets license for European Economic Area expansion.


The company registered Ripple Payments Europe S.A. in Luxembourg in late April as part of its EU strategy.


Industry reports suggest an electronic money institution license application in Luxembourg, though Ripple declined confirmation.


Luxembourg emerged as a #MiCA compliance hub after Coinbase secured its license from local regulators.


Bitstamp and #StandardChartered previously obtained similar licenses, establishing Luxembourg as a crypto gateway.


Luxembourg authorities classified virtual asset service providers as high-risk entities for money laundering in May.
