$BTC Volatility Drops as Sophisticated Trading Matures Market
$BTC hit $118,667 on Friday, but experts warn the climb will be slower than previous bull runs.
The flagship cryptocurrency's volatility has dropped to 29.5% from 100% in 2021 as the asset matures.
$BTC #ETFs pulled in over $1 billion on Thursday as well as Friday, marking their second-biggest day ever.
The options market has exploded from a $15 billion peak in 2021 to over
$42.5 billion on Deribit in May.
Sophisticated traders are now selling call options, adding liquidity and dampening price swings.
"A slow and steady grind higher is sustainable, unlike a massive, bubble-like rally," said Amberdata's Greg Magadini.
#BlackRock IBIT led #ETF inflows with $448.5 million, followed by Fidelity's FBTC at $324.3 million.
The 2017 surge saw
$BTC rocket 2,360% from $786 to $19,345, far outpacing 2025's 25% gain.
