DeFi Development Corp Acquires 17,760 SOL Tokens Worth $2.72 Million


$SOL treasury firm DeFi Development Corp has purchased 17,760 tokens at an average price of $153.10 per coin.


The acquisition brings the company's total holdings to 640,585 $SOL tokens valued at approximately $96 million.


DDC secured $112.5 million in private placement funding on Wednesday to partially finance additional token purchases.


The firm previously raised $42 million in financing and obtained a $5 billion line of credit for expansion.


DDC allocated $75.6 million from net proceeds to fund a prepaid forward stock purchase transaction.


The company maintains a SOL per Share ratio of 0.042 as of July 3 to measure portfolio performance.


DDC joins SOL Strategies and Upexi in pursuing $SOL acquisition and #staking strategies amid the crypto treasury trend.
