#BNB Chain Maxwell Hardfork Cuts Block Times to 0.75 Seconds


#BNB Smart Chain is preparing for its fastest upgrade yet with the Maxwell hardfork launching June 30.


Block times will drop from 1.5 seconds to just 0.75 seconds, making transactions nearly instant.


The upgrade builds on three key proposals enhancing validator communication and block syncing.


BSC currently maintains $0.04 average transaction fees and leads daily #DEX volume rankings.


Testnet deployment begins May 26, with mainnet activation scheduled for June 30.


Node operators must upgrade software before testnet launch to ensure compatibility.


The enhancement follows the successful Lorentz hardfork that reduced block times from 3 seconds to 1.5 seconds.
