The Smarter Web Company secured $56.59 million from institutional investors just days after buying 196
$BTC worth over $20 million.
The U.K. web design firm raised funds via an accelerated bookbuild at 2.9 British pounds per share, with stocks taking effect July 1.
The company's
$BTC holdings now total 543.52 coins, purchased at an average price of $104,450, currently worth approximately $58.19 million.
Smarter Web has bought
$BTC five times in June alone, increasing holdings from 83.24
$BTC at May's end to over 540 coins now.
The firm launched its
$BTC treasury strategy in April but has accepted #crypto payments since 2023.
Despite the major
$BTC acquisitions, company shares fell 15% on Thursday to close at $3.56 on the OTCQB market.
The stock remains up 274% year-to-date, reflecting investor confidence in the
$BTC treasury approach.
Other U.K. firms, including Vinanz and Abraxas Capital, have also made significant
$BTC purchases despite unclear regulatory frameworks.
