$XRP Ledger Gets Major Upgrade Through Wormhole Integration


Ripple has announced #Wormhole integration with both $XRP Ledger mainnet and XRPL EVM sidechain.


The partnership enables cross-chain messaging, asset transfers, and multi-chain token issuances across 35+ blockchains.


Major institutions, including BlackRock, Securitize, and Apollo, already use Wormhole's #interoperability services.


$XRP tokens can now move between networks while maintaining native issuance and control.


XRPL CTO David Schwartz emphasized that interoperability is essential for real mass adoption.


The integration supports Ripple's strategy to position XRPL as a core component of institutional on-chain finance.


Recent XRPL developments include Circle's $USDC adoption and Ondo Finance's government debt product support.
