#Bybit Hack Funds Surface on Greek Exchange as Authorities Launch #Investigation

The Greek Anti-Money Laundering Authority has detected suspicious transactions linked to February's $1.5 billion Bybit #hack on a domestic exchange.

An unidentified user received a "large quantity" of $ETH traced back to the historic cryptocurrency exchange breach.

North Korea's Lazarus Group was previously identified as responsible for the attack through on-chain investigation.

Greek authorities issued seizure orders for the user's crypto wallet and submitted reports to prosecutors for legal action.

Bybit has recovered $42.89 million of stolen assets while 88.87% remains traceable on #blockchain networks.

Approximately 7.59% of funds have "gone dark" through cryptocurrency mixers including Wasabi, CryptoMixer, and Tornado Cash.

An additional 3.54% of stolen cryptocurrency has been frozen through collaboration with other exchanges.

The investigation highlights the complex #crypto laundering infrastructure potentially operating across neighboring countries.
