Arizona $BTC Reserve Bill Using Seized #Crypto Assets Passes House


#Arizona's House has passed HB 2324 in a 34-22 vote, creating a reserve fund for seized cryptocurrencies.


The bill now heads to Governor Hobbs after passing the Senate 16-14 last week.


HB 2324 grants the State Treasurer authority to create the $BTC and Digital Assets Reserve Fund.


The fund would manage crypto assets obtained through criminal forfeiture and enable investment in digital assets or #ETFs.


This marks Arizona's second crypto reserve legislation after HB 2749, involving unclaimed digital assets, passed last month.


#Revenue allocation directs the first $300,000 to the Anti-Racketeering Fund, with remaining amounts split between state funds and the new reserve.
