$XRP ETF Approved for Trading on Toronto Stock Exchange


#PurposeInvestments has received final approval for its spot $XRP ETF, marking North America's first such product.


The fund will trade under ticker XRPP starting June 18 on the Toronto Stock Exchange.


Purpose filed its initial prospectus on Jan. 31, beating U.S. competitors in the #ETF approval race.


$XRP surged 6.5% to $2.32 following the announcement, with the token maintaining its fourth-largest crypto ranking.


Several U.S. firms including Bitwise and Grayscale have pending $XRP ETF applications with the #SEC.


The product gives investors direct exposure to $XRP without requiring direct custody of the digital asset.
