#Metaplanet Overtakes #Coinbase Global With 10,000 $BTC Holdings Milestone


Japanese investment firm Metaplanet has purchased 1,112 $BTC for $117.2 million, at an average price of $105,435 per coin.


The acquisition brings total holdings to exactly 10,000 $BTC, surpassing Coinbase Global's 9,267 $BTC position.


Company shares surged 17% following the announcement as investors celebrated the $BTC accumulation #strategy.


Metaplanet approved $210 million in zero-interest bonds with December 2025 maturity to fund additional purchases.


The firm targets 210,000 $BTC by the end of 2027, aiming for 1% of the total $BTC supply through a $5.4 billion equity offering.


Its stock price has climbed over 408% year-to-date as the company positions itself as Asia's #MicroStrategy equivalent.
