Franklin Templeton Launches Second-by-Second Yield for #Tokenized Assets

Franklin Templeton has introduced "Intraday Yield" on its Benji tokenization platform, allowing investors to earn yield down to the second.

The feature enables proportional yield accrual based on actual holding time, even for same-day transfers.

Traditional finance systems calculate yield only at trading day end, causing investors to miss proportional earnings.

Franklin Templeton manages approximately $750 million in assets through its OnChain U.S. Government Money Fund.

The tokenized asset market reached $23.14 billion in market capitalization, up 46.92% year-to-date.

Other major asset managers, including BlackRock and VanEck, collectively manage over $2.94 billion in tokenized Treasurys.

Roger Bayston calls the feature a solution to "a century-old inefficiency" in traditional finance.
