Paraguay President's Account Hacked in $BTC Legal Tender Scam


Paraguay's President Santiago Peña's X account was compromised on Monday, posting fake claims that the country adopted $BTC as legal tender.


The suspicious message announced a "$5 million BTC reserve" and linked to a Bitcoin address containing only $4 worth of crypto.


The post was written in English rather than Peña's usual Spanish, raising immediate red flags among #crypto observers.


This follows a pattern of high-profile account hacks targeting politicians and celebrities to steal cryptocurrency from followers.
