#Romania Installs First $BTC ATM in National Post Office Network


Romania's national postal service Poșta Română has installed its first $BTC ATM at a branch location in Tulcea city.


The installation was completed in partnership with $BTC Romania exchange as part of infrastructure modernization efforts.


Four additional post office locations will receive $BTC ATMs next: Alexandria, Piatra Neamț, Botoșani, and Nădlac.


The initiative reflects growing cryptocurrency acceptance by national governments and public institutions responding to digital asset demand.


Post office $BTC ATMs represent expanding service offerings to underserved areas across Romania's postal network.


Despite growing adoption, only 4% of the global population owns $BTC, according to Q1 2025 research from River financial services.
