#ApeCoin DAO Faces Termination as #YugaLabs Proposes New Governance Structure


#YugaLabs has proposed dismantling the #ApeCoin DAO and replacing it with a new entity called #ApeCo to streamline ecosystem governance.


CEO Greg Solano criticized the current DAO as "sluggish, noisy, and often unserious governance theater" that has hindered ecosystem growth.


The transition would eliminate existing governance structures and focus resources on three core pillars: ApeChain, Bored Ape Yacht Club, and Otherside.


If approved, all previous ApeCoin Improvement Proposals would be nullified along with delegated authorities and working groups.


Community sentiment in ApeCoin forums appears largely positive toward the governance restructuring proposal, though official voting has not yet begun.
