#Strategy Faces Class Action Lawsuit Over
$BTC Investment Disclosures
#MichaelSaylor's Strategy (formerly MicroStrategy) has been hit with a federal securities lawsuit filed by plaintiff Anas Hamza on May 16.
The class action alleges the company misrepresented fundamental aspects of its
$BTC investment strategy to shareholders.
Named defendants include CEO Michael Saylor, President Phong Le, and CFO Andrew Kang for alleged Securities Exchange Act violations.
The #lawsuit comes hours after Strategy announced acquiring 7,390 additional
$BTC for $764.9 million at an average price of $103,498 per
$BTC.
The company now holds 576,230
$BTC worth approximately $40.18 billion at current market prices.
Critics have questioned Strategy's aggressive #Bitcoin accumulation strategy, warning of excessive volatility exposure for shareholders.
The legal challenge seeks damages for investors allegedly misled by the company's disclosures regarding its #crypto holdings.
