#Metaplanet Adds 1,004 
$BTC Worth $104M to #Treasury Holdings
In its latest accumulation move, Japanese firm Metaplanet purchased 1,004 $BTC at an average price of $103,873 per token. Its total holdings now reach 7,800 $BTC valued at approximately $806 million based on current market prices.
The company acquired its entire position for $712.5 million at an average cost of $91,343 per $BTC, according to CEO Simon Gerovich.
Metaplanet targets 10,000 $BTC by the end of 2025 through continued accumulation as part of its crypto #treasury strategy.
Recent funding came from a $15 million bond offering, the firm's 15th ordinary bond sale to finance purchases. The Tokyo-listed company has been steadily growing its holdings since beginning accumulation in April 2024.
The Tokyo-listed stock jumped 12.2% on Monday following the announcement of the latest purchase.
Metaplanet ranks as the 11th-largest corporate $BTC holder globally and the largest in Asia, according to $BTC treasuries data.
