$XRP Hits $1.2 Billion Daily Volume in South Korea, Surpassing $BTC and $ETH


South Korean traders pushed $XRP to $1.2 billion in trading volume on May 12, making it the country's most-traded cryptocurrency.


Data from #UpBit shows 24-hour volumes of $XRP and $DOGE exceeded $250 million each, while $BTC and $ETH remained below $150 million.


$XRP has climbed over 15% in the past week, outpacing bitcoin's 10% gain during the same period.


$ETH has soared nearly 40% through May 12, marking its largest weekly gain since 2021.


A massive $1 billion short squeeze last week amplified the #bullmarket rally following reduced U.S.-China trade tensions.
