Bhutan Now Accepts Crypto Payments Across Entire Country


Bhutan has become the first country to implement a nationwide #cryptocurrency payment system for tourists in partnership with Binance and DK Bank.


The system allows travelers to pay for flights, hotels, visas, and even roadside vendors using over 100 supported cryptocurrencies through QR code payments.


More than 100 local merchants have already joined the program, with tourists using the Binance app to scan QR codes for instant, fee-free transactions.


The initiative extends digital infrastructure to remote areas of Bhutan while eliminating the need for local currency or bank accounts for international visitors.
