NYC Mayor Aims To Make New York the Crypto Capital of the Globe


New York City Mayor Eric Adams has announced partnerships with financial firms to advance the city's crypto initiatives.


While unveiling his ambitious vision, Adams declared that his goal remains “making New York City the crypto capital of the globe.”


Figure founder June Ou and Traction and Scale CEO Richie Hecker will advise on digital asset economic development.


"We are focused on the long-term values of these technologies for our city, not chasing memes or trends," Adams stated.


The mayor has consistently supported digital assets since taking office, receiving his first three paychecks in $BTC.


New York City will host its own #crypto summit on May 20.
