#Bhutan Launches World's First National #Crypto Tourism Payment System


Bhutan has partnered with #BinancePay and DK Bank to create the first national-level cryptocurrency tourism payment system.


Travelers with #Binance accounts can now pay for tickets, hotels, tour guides and other services using over 100 different crypto assets including $BTC, $USDC, and $BNB.


The #tourism initiative specifically targets small businesses in remote areas who previously lacked access to traditional payment infrastructure.


"This is more than a payment solution—it's a commitment to innovation, inclusion, and convenience," said Damcho Rinzin, director of Bhutan's tourism department.


The initiative aligns with Bhutan's broader embrace of digital assets, as the country continues building its strategic crypto reserve with holdings now at 12,062 $BTC.
