House Democrats boycotted Tuesday's joint committee hearing on crypto regulation amid escalating partisan tensions.


Financial Services Committee Ranking Member Maxine Waters objected to the hearing, citing "corruption of the President" and his #crypto ownership.


The planned hearing was converted to a roundtable discussing a market structure bill draft released Monday by House Republicans.


Tensions also surround the GENIUS Act #stablecoin bill, which Senate Majority Leader Thune previously planned for a vote before Memorial Day.


Democrats have raised concerns about Trump family's crypto involvement, including their #memecoin launches and Trump-backed World Liberty Financial's stablecoin $USD1.
