Ripple Abandons Quarterly XRP Reports as CEO Cites Legal Pressure

Ripple CEO Brad Garlinghouse announced the company will no longer publish quarterly $XRP markets reports, shifting to informal updates via social media and blog posts.

The decision comes after the SEC used these detailed disclosures against #Ripple in its ongoing legal battle, claiming $XRP is a security.

Despite the reporting change, Ripple pledges to maintain #transparency about its holdings, which include approximately 45.86 billion $XRP tokens worth around $99 billion.

The quarterly reports began in 2017 to build trust but were eventually weaponized in the December 2020 SEC lawsuit against the company.

This strategic shift aims to reduce legal risks while still keeping investors informed about Ripple's significant influence on the $XRP market.
