New Hampshire Makes History as First State To Create Strategic
$BTC Reserve
New Hampshire has become the first U.S. state to establish a #Bitcoin reserve after Governor Kelly Ayotte signed HB 302 into law.
The groundbreaking legislation enables the state treasurer to invest 10% of New Hampshire's general fund in precious metals and digital assets with market caps over $500 billion.
Currently, only
$BTC meets the $500 billion threshold requirement specified in the law.
"New Hampshire didn't just pass a bill; it sparked a movement," said Dennis Porter, CEO of Satoshi Action Fund, which drafted the model legislation.
Several states, including Arizona, Illinois, Maryland, Michigan, and Texas, are considering similar #cryptocurrency initiatives, while Florida recently "indefinitely postponed" related bills.
