Brown University Invests $5M in BlackRock's Bitcoin ETF


Ivy League institution Brown University has disclosed a $4.9 million investment in BlackRock's spot #Bitcoin ETF.


The university holds 105,000 $IBIT shares as part of its $216 million investment portfolio, according to SEC filings.


Brown has become the third U.S. university to announce a $BTC ETF purchase, following Emory and the University of Austin.


BlackRock's IBIT is the largest spot Bitcoin ETF with approximately $56.81 billion in assets under management.


This institutional adoption continues to validate Bitcoin's legitimacy as an asset class for traditional investors.
