<a href="https://ultramining.com/news/en/vipera-tech-launches-profitable-new-kaspa-miners-ks3-ks3l-3000-daily-earning-potential-revolutionizes-crypto-mining/">Kaspa</a> mining has seen significant growth in May, driven by the participation of large mining pools. This increase in competition has boosted the prices of mining rigs, with the <a href="https://ultramining.com/en/manufacturers/bitmain/">Bitmain</a> Antminer KS5 now priced over $24,000. Kaspa's <a href="https://ultramining.com/news/en/impending-bitcoin-halving-may-trigger-major-hashrate-decline-say-experts/">hashrate</a> has expanded to nearly 300 PH/s, still much lower than Bitcoin’s but twenty times higher than Ethereum Classic’s, enhancing transaction security. 
Initially, Kaspa's mining was community-driven, with over 50% of the hashrate held by WoolyPooly.com. Now, major pools like <a href="https://ultramining.com/en/ratings/f2pool/">F2Pool</a>, which also mines Bitcoin, dominate. This shift has made it challenging for small-scale miners to compete, as the Kaspa network requires joining top pools for block rewards, according to <a href="https://www.cryptopolitan.com/kaspa-mining-growth-industrial-miners-join/">Cryptopolitan</a>. 
Kaspa's network employs a Proof of Work consensus mechanism and follows an accelerated coin production schedule with annual halvings. With a total supply of 28.7 billion coins, over 23 billion have already been mined, intensifying competition for the remaining coins. 
<a href="https://ultramining.com/news/en/vipera-tech-launches-profitable-new-kaspa-miners-ks3-ks3l-3000-daily-earning-potential-revolutionizes-crypto-mining/">KAS</a>, Kaspa’s native token, has appreciated from $0.00018 to $0.14 over the past two years, peaking at $0.18. Trading volumes are close to $50 million, with most activity on ByBit, Gate.IO, and <a href="https://www.kucoin.com/r/rf/rM884UH">KuCoin</a>. The Kaspa community is optimistic, expecting KAS to reach $1, contingent on increased adoption and L1 narratives gaining traction. 
As Kaspa continues to grow, the network's unique attributes, like its DAG structure, offer a blend of Bitcoin’s security and Ethereum’s use cases. However, the network still lags in token creation and value-generating projects. Future developments may enable Kaspa to compete more effectively with established blockchains like Bitcoin and Ethereum.
