This activity follows the government’s January seizure of 50,000 Bitcoin from the notorious piracy site Movie2k. Undoubtedly, the digital assets confiscation was part of a larger crackdown on illegal online activities and digital piracy. Also, the seizure of Bitcoin from Movie2k marked one of the <a href="https://www.medienservice.sachsen.de/medien/news/1072857" rel="noopener noreferrer nofollow">largest </a>cryptocurrency confiscations in Germany’s history.&nbsp;
Meanwhile, this is in addition to $130 million and $65 million BTC <a href="https://x.com/ArkhamIntel/status/1805542884436811838" rel="noopener noreferrer nofollow">sent to different exchanges</a> on the 19th and 20th of June respectively. Although, Kraken returned $20.1 million worth of BTC, while $5.5 million came from wallets linked to Robinhood, Bitstamp, and Coinbase exchanges. Arkham reports also revealed that the German government now holds 46,359 BTC worth $2.8 billion at the current price.
