Ronin has released its zkEVM Testnet, marking a significant milestone in its Layer 2 development progress. This release allows users to access the block explorer, enabling them to navigate and engage with the new blockchain ecosystem, setting the stage for future Ronin advancements.

Integration with Polygon’s CDK 
Earlier this month, Ronin integrated Polygon’s Chain Development Kit (CDK), setting the stage for a future ecosystem of zkEVM chains on Ronin. The launch of the zkEVM Testnet on the Saigon Testnet is a key milestone in this journey.&nbsp; 
The new zkEVM Testnet block explorer enables users to search for tokens, contracts, transactions, and more. Builders can query the RPC endpoint, simplifying development and testing on the platform. 
These developments offer a glimpse of the potential when mainnet Layer 2s go live on Ronin, anticipated around Q1 2025. 
Preparation for Mainnet Launches 
In preparation for the first zkEVM mainnet launches, Ronin developers are focused on creating comprehensive developer documentation and front-end infrastructure. This groundwork is essential for a smooth transition and robust functionality for future mainnet deployments.&nbsp; 
Developers will soon be able to bridge testnet RON from the Saigon Testnet, a crucial capability for experimenting and building on the new platform. Launching a zkEVM chain on the Testnet will require becoming a Testnet Validator, which reflects the future requirement for Mainnet Validators to launch zkEVM on Mainnet.&nbsp; 
The Ronin team is diligently working on detailed developer documentation, which will be available in the coming months. This documentation will provide essential guidelines and resources for developers eager to explore the capabilities of the zkEVM Testnet and prepare for the eventual mainnet launch.
