Shiba Inu

According to market monitoring service Whale Alert, 4,642,530,677,374 SHIB, equivalent to around $38,057,145 USD, was transferred from an unknown wallet to another unknown wallet.   
This substantial transfer has caught the attention of the crypto community and comes hot on the heels of a blog post by Shytoshi Kusama, the pseudonymous developer behind Shiba Inu.   
In his recent blog post, Kusama delivered reassuring news to the Shiba Inu community. He emphasized that Shiba Inu is now ready and secure, providing relief to users who had been concerned following the official launch of Shibarium and the technical challenges that had arisen.   
Shibarium, a project aimed at elevating Shiba Inu from a meme coin to a network with practical use cases, faced a hiccup when $1.79 million worth of Ethereum became stuck on bridge day.   
Kusama expressed gratitude to the Polygon team for their support during this challenging period. He mentioned that he had reached out to them for assistance, and without hesitation, they provided additional resources to ensure a smooth resolution to the situation.   
Kusama highlighted the decision to pivot and fork Polygon as the correct one, given the positive outcome.   
Shibarium Explorer currently reports 73,650 daily transactions and nearly 900,000 addresses on the network. The network experienced a peak in traffic on August 25, with over 130,000 recorded transactions.   
Despite this increased activity, the network utilization stands at just 33 percent, and the total value locked (TVL) on Shibarium is currently $1.23 million.   
While this TVL may seem relatively modest compared to the $37 billion TVL across the broader DeFi ecosystem, it underscores that Shibarium is still in its early stages of development.   
Among the nine protocols operating on Shibarium, DogSwap boasts the largest TVL, exceeding $687,000.   
It's important to note that perpetual SHIB listings continue to be added to cryptocurrency exchanges. For instance, the popular exchange BitMEX announced on August 29 that it was introducing two perpetual listings involving SHIB.   
These pairs include SHIB/USD and SHIB/USDT, offering traders the ability to leverage their trades by up to 33x.   
Perpetual futures contracts, commonly known as "perps," enable traders to speculate on asset prices without expiration dates, mirroring the accessibility and profit potential of the spot crypto market.   
However, it's crucial for traders to be aware of the substantial risks associated with trading perps.
