Cysic says the Cysic Bridge is restored. The project posted the update on X on October 28, 2026, at 12:00 AM IST (18:30 UTC, October 27). Users can resume CYS token bridging between Cysic Mainnet and other supported chains.

It thanks users for their patience and gives no technical detail. The team suspended the Cysic cross-chain bridge on October 17, 2026, after a security incident.&nbsp;
The restart fits the timeline in the earlier&nbsp;<a href="https://www.coingabbar.com/en/cysic-bridge-update-restoration-expected-october-27" rel="noopener noreferrer nofollow">Cysic Bridge update</a>, which expected restoration by the end of October 27.
<h2 id="span-span-style-font-size-16px-what-triggered-the-cysic-bridge-security-incident-on-october-17-span-span">What Triggered the Cysic Bridge Security Incident on October 17?</h2>
An attacker minted 10 million CYS on <a href="https://www.coingabbar.com/en/tag/binance" rel="noopener noreferrer nofollow">BNB Smart Chain</a> at 12:31:38 UTC. The&nbsp;Foundation said the attacker gained unauthorized access to a bridge database and exploited a message processing flaw.&nbsp;
These are project claims, and the full attack path was still under review.
<h3 id="span-span-style-font-size-16px-what-did-cysic-do-to-contain-it-span-span">What Did Cysic Do to Contain It?</h3>
The project said the damage stayed within bridge minting and message processing. It said Cysic Mainnet and user wallets were not affected.
The team blacklisted the receiving address at 13:47:52 UTC, which restricted about 2.8 million CYS. It also hired a security firm to trace the funds, as its&nbsp;<a href="https://x.com/cysic_xyz/status/2111769101723218106" rel="noopener noreferrer nofollow">security incident post</a> explains.
<h2 id="span-span-style-font-size-16px-can-users-resume-cysic-cross-chain-transfers-safely-span-span">Can Users Resume Cysic Cross-Chain Transfers Safely?</h2>
Cysic confirms the bridge is online and transfers can resume. The project documentation also lists a&nbsp;<a href="https://docs.cysic.xyz/tutorial-docs/cysic-token-operation/how-to-bridge/" rel="noopener noreferrer nofollow">how to bridge tutorial</a> for the process.
The post does not say whether the security review is complete or which fixes were applied. It also skips pending transfers.
Earlier, Cysic said funds from stuck transactions stayed in the bridge contract. It planned to process them once the bridge was safe to resume.
<h2 id="span-span-style-font-size-16px-what-happens-to-the-7-2-million-cys-burn-plan-span-span">What Happens to the 7.2 Million CYS Burn Plan?</h2>
Supply is the other thread in the Cysic Bridge Restoration. In its <a href="https://www.coingabbar.com/en/cysic-security-news-7-2m-cys-burn-token-supply" rel="noopener noreferrer nofollow">burn plan announcement</a> on October 23, Cysic said it will burn 7.2 million CYS from Foundation reserves by the end of October.
No burn confirmation appeared in the sources checked. On paper, 7.2 million plus the roughly 2.8 million restricted CYS equals the 10 million minted. That is arithmetic, not a confirmed accounting.

The data suggests the restart is a service step, not a final closure. Four signals matter: published review findings, burn records, processed pending transfers and steady bridge activity.
The main uncertainty remains whether the security firm’s findings will be published. Bridges also carry smart contract and operational risk. Within&nbsp;<a href="https://www.coingabbar.com/en/crypto-news-english" rel="noopener noreferrer nofollow">crypto news today</a>, the restart stands out because the incident changed token supply.
<h3 id="span-span-style-font-size-16px-conclusion-span-span">Conclusion</h3>
Cysic has confirmed the <a href="https://app.cysic.xyz/bridge" rel="noopener noreferrer nofollow">Cysic Bridge</a> is back online, but review findings, burn records and pending transfers remain open. Cysic news today rests on that one confirmed restart.
Further project updates and crypto news updates will show if it holds. For cryptocurrency news and Cysic crypto news, those confirmations matter most.
