Internet Computer (@dfinity) $ICP is facing criticism over adoption, but its on-chain activity is recovering. Data from analytics firm Santiment shows a clear pickup in network usage over the past two months, though activity remains well below last year's levels.

Active and new addresses climb

Median daily active addresses on Internet Computer rose 35%, according to Santiment. The daily median climbed from 2,838 between July 24 and August 22 to 3,860 between September 22 and October 21.

New addresses rose faster. Over the same periods, the figure increased 45%, from 481 to 710.

Santiment defines daily active addresses as the number of distinct addresses that took part in a transfer for a given asset on a given day. Each address is counted once per day, and both senders and receivers are included. The metric measures network participation but does not show how much value is moving, or whether activity comes from organic users.

The gap to November 2025 remains

The recovery comes with a caveat. The latest weekly readings remain roughly half the 9,500-address average recorded in early November 2025. That leaves the network well short of its recent peak, even after the improvement.

The user growth has also not been matched by price. COINOTAG reported that ICP lost 8.29% over the past month while new daily addresses rose 45% to 710, and that traders are watching the $2.50 to $2.85 range for the next decisive move. That divergence between usage and token performance is now a central question for holders, the outlet said.

For investors, the data points to early signs of stabilising demand for the network rather than a full rebound. Whether the increase in addresses can be sustained, and whether it translates into deeper usage, will determine if $ICP can close the gap with its late 2025 activity levels.
