Trading Start Time Moved to 16:00 KST

Upbit first set trading support to begin at 13:00 KST on August 21. The exchange then changed this to 16:00 KST the same day.
Upbit apologized for the delay in its updated notice. Deposits and withdrawals for all four tokens started within two hours of the original post, ahead of the trading start.

Crypto Listing News: Order Limits After Trading Opens

Upbit applies standard limits to new listings to reduce extreme price swings. These rules apply across all four tokens in this crypto listing news event.

Buy orders are blocked for about 5 minutes after trading starts.

Sell orders priced 10 percent or more below the prior close are blocked for about 5 minutes.

Only limit orders are allowed for about 2 hours after trading starts. Other order types are restricted in this window.

Upbit noted that trading support could be delayed further if liquidity stays too low after deposits open.

Why This Crypto Listing News Matters for Traders

This crypto listing news adds four projects from different sectors: account abstraction, on-chain analytics, privacy computing, and blockspace markets. Listing on a major exchange like Upbit typically brings new liquidity and visibility.
GWEI showed the sharpest 24-hour move among the four tokens ahead of the Upbit listing window. Traders should note that early listing volatility is common and can reverse quickly once initial order restrictions lift.

Expert Opinion

Exchange listings often drive short-term volume spikes as new liquidity enters a token. The order restrictions Upbit applied here, limited order types and a buy delay, are standard tools meant to reduce manipulation risk during the first hours of trading. Longer-term price direction for BICO, BMT, NIL, and GWEI will likely depend more on project adoption than on the listing event itself.

Glossary

KST: Korea Standard Time, the time zone used in Upbit's official notices.

FDV: Fully Diluted Valuation, a token's price multiplied by its maximum possible supply.

Circulating Supply: The number of tokens currently available and tradable in the market.

Conclusion

Upbit's crypto listing of BICO, BMT, NIL, and GWEI opened four new BTC and USDT pairs on August 21, 2026, after a same-day delay to 16:00 KST. Standard order limits apply in the opening hours for all four tokens.
