The idea is to attach a verifiable decentralized identifier to each agent, creating an auditable record of every action it takes across protocols. Early deployments were mostly narrow-purpose tools, automating single tasks like email sorting or calendar scheduling. Progress has been slow. Reaching consensus across browser makers, enterprise software vendors, and security firms takes time.For now, the most exposed businesses are those running high-value APIs without strong authentication layers.
