Base announces 12 finalists for Batch 003 accelerator across AI, DeFi, and more

Base has moved its latest accelerator cycle into a shortlist stage, naming twelve finalists across AI, DeFi, and other fields. This report is intentionally narrow because the available evidence is limited to program overview pages and secondary reporting URLs in the research package, not a complete finalist dossier with project-by-project documentation. The core references in that package are the Devfolio overview endpoints at base-batches-student-track-3.devfolio.co/overview and base-batches-startup-track-3.devfolio.co/overview.

What Is Confirmed From the Available URLs

The official pages available in this brief include the Base Batches Student Track 3 overview, the Base Batches Startup Track 3 overview, the Base Batches Builder Track page, and the Base Batches program site. Taken together, these URLs support the narrow claim that Batch 003 is being communicated as a cohort process at finalist stage, not as a final winner publication.

The current evidence set does not provide a single linked page in the brief that enumerates every finalist name with a verified profile. Instead, the brief points to overview hubs such as the Base Batches Startup Track portal and basebatches.xyz. That means any unsourced name-by-name roster would exceed what these cited pages, as provided here, explicitly substantiate.

Within those constraints, two facts can be reported without stretching evidence: the shortlist framing is explicit, and AI plus DeFi are presented as key themes alongside other categories in the announcement angle. The same Batch 3 framing appears in external coverage at BitPinas’ Base Batch 3 feature, while the official program context remains anchored to the Devfolio overviews already cited.

What Readers Should Watch Next

For next-step verification, readers should track the official update surfaces in this package: the Student Track 3 page, the Startup Track 3 page, and the Base Batches homepage. These are the specific URLs here that can confirm future additions such as finalist profiles, public demos, or post-shortlist outcomes.

For context across crypto coverage themes, the shortlist signal can be compared with COINCU reporting on Chainalysis stablecoin volume projections, meme-driven retail narratives like DOGEBALL and CatSlap, and mining-side operational disclosures from Cango, while the underlying Batch 003 claim remains tied to the official Devfolio overview record.
