Price structure weakened quickly as volatility spiked and confidence faded. A key rejection level flipped market control in favor of sellers, and the decline gained speed. Whale activity then added fresh uncertainty, shifting sentiment further. Traders now question whether PEPE can stabilize or extend losses.</p>

<p>PEPE has traded within a <a href="https://howtotrade.com/chart-patterns/descending-channel-pattern/">descending channel</a> since rejection at $0.00000688 two weeks ago. That level marked a turning point, where sellers took control and maintained steady pressure. The broader market crash amplified the move, pushing the memecoin lower with little resistance. PEPE later dropped to a local low near $0.0000044 as fear dominated short-term positioning. At the time of writing, PEPE traded around $0.000004541, reflecting a daily decline of 5.56 percent.</p>  
<p>That move <a href="https://cryptonewsland.com/pepe-price-consolidates-near-key-resistance-aft/">extended a downtrend</a> that has lasted more than a week and kept price pinned near the lower boundary of the descending channel. Selling pressure remained consistent, limiting recovery attempts and weakening overall structure. Bearish momentum intensified after a long-term whale exited part of a massive position. After holding 1.7 trillion PEPE tokens since October, the whale sold 858 billion tokens worth roughly $3.88 million. The move surprised traders, as blockchain data showed accumulation began in 2023 with no prior selling activity.</p>  
<p>Despite the sale, the wallet still holds 842 billion tokens valued near $3.82 million, according to Arkham data. This sell-off reflected a broader trend among large holders. Following the market dip, outflows from top wallets surged. <a href="https://www.nansen.ai/">Nansen data</a> showed Top Holders offloaded a combined 4.25 trillion PEPE tokens, pointing to fear-driven exits. When large holders sell during a decline, market confidence weakens fast, while rising supply adds further downside pressure.</p>  
<h2 class="wp-block-heading" id="technical-signals-point-toward-continued-weakness">Technical Signals Point Toward Continued Weakness</h2>  
<p>Spot volume data reinforced the bearish outlook. Sales volume dipped slightly to 4.46 trillion on January 30, down from 6.56 trillion the previous day. Buy volume also weakened, reaching 3.79 trillion on January 30 after printing 5.72 trillion a day earlier. Across both sessions, selling activity outweighed buying, resulting in a negative Buy-Sell Delta that signaled aggressive distribution.</p>  
<p>Momentum indicators continued to deteriorate after the crash. The Stochastic RSI printed a bearish crossover and dropped to 13.5 at press time, pushing deeper into oversold territory. Such readings often appear during strong downtrends and suggest sellers remain in control despite short-term exhaustion risks.</p>  
<p>Trend indicators supported the bearish case. PEPE traded below the 20, 50, 100, and 200 EMAs, reflecting sustained downward pressure. These moving averages now act as resistance, limiting upside attempts.
