WEMADE (CEO: Kwan-ho Park) has announced that its MMORPG, MIR M, will officially launch in China in January 2026.
MIR M is the latest entry in the MIR IP, bringing a modern interpretation to WEMADE’s flagship title, Legend of Mir 2. In China, the game will be released under the title MIR M: Mogwang Ssangyong (MIR M：暮光双龙).
The original Legend of Mir 2 achieved remarkable success in China, capturing 65% of the PC online game market in 2004 and setting a Guinness World Record in 2005 with 800,000 concurrent users. Due to the lasting popularity of the MIR IP and its loyal fanbase, MIR M is already generating strong anticipation among Chinese players.
Ahead of the official launch, WEMADE ran multiple rounds of pre-release testing in China. Feedback from these tests, along with the latest local gaming trends, has been fully incorporated to ensure the game is thoroughly localized.
While retaining signature features such as eight-direction grid combat and a quarter-view perspective, key systems—including combat mechanics, equipment progression, and UI/UX—have been fine-tuned for Chinese players. Weapons, outfits, and accessories reflect the iconic elements of the MIR IP, and China-exclusive cinematic sequences have been added to deliver a fully immersive experience for both veteran fans and newcomers.
In preparation for the launch, WEMADE opened an early access server on December 4, 2025. Players on the early access server can seamlessly continue their progress when the full launch occurs. WEMADE will use this period to ensure service stability and further refine the game’s quality.
