On-chain trackers watched the attacker load up ahead of the fake promo and walk away with roughly $55,000.</li>
 <li>Pepe’s official site was <a href="https://cointelegraph.com/news/pepe-memecoin-site-hacked" rel="noopener noreferrer nofollow">hit with a front-end exploit</a> that redirected visitors straight into malware. The attack uses Inferno Drainer, a scam toolkit packed with phishing pages and <a href="https://coinmarketcap.com/academy/glossary/wallet" rel="noopener noreferrer nofollow">wallet</a>-draining tricks.</li>
