Ashwinee Panda from the University of Maryland condemned this approach, emphasizing the ‘lack of respect for human reviewers’ time’ when AI-generated papers are submitted without giving organizers the option to decline review. Her account of Sakana seeking consent, which she declined, further underscores the ethical line that Intology and Autoscience are accused of crossing.
